Hollow Knight DLC is a downloadable content released for the game. DLC can be a pre-order bonus, a paid addition to the base game such as an expansion, or free rewards obtained during events or publisher giveaways.

Initially, four additional chapters/content was released individually, and eventually, was regrouped for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One into the Voidheart Edition that included the base game along with the four additional chapters/content - this edition was later on released as a patch for both the PC and Nintendo Switch.

Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition
The Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition is an exclusive digital port that was announced on the 11th of September 2018 and was released on the 26th of September 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One which included all the four chapters such as Hidden Dreams, The Grimm Troupe, Lifeblood, and Godmaster. It was only ported to the console as a whole - but for PC and Nintendo Switch, this edition was only considered as a patch update which added the following:
- Bug Fixes
- Gameplay Balances
- New Dialogues for some NPCs
- A new loading menu screen and an
- Added Voidheart Theme for the Main Menu
