Lumafly Lantern is an Item in Hollow Knight. It is used to light your way through dark areas of Hallownest.

• Some areas in the game are too dark to traverse safely (darkness also prevents interactions with certain objects). The Lumafly Lantern is used to light the way through these dark areas.

Lumafly Lantern Notes & Tips

• The Lantern is technically not a required item to complete the game. However, it opens a passage to Crystal Peak through Forgotten Crossroads. It's also a necessary item to fight No Eyes.
• Without the Lantern, most of Deepnest will be much darker, making it a more challenging area.
• If you hit a hazard while traversing a dark room, you will respawn at its entrance. This makes the Lantern a particularly handy exploration tool.
• When bought, it will show up as a small ball of light following the Knight.
